Final Selection Camp for Team Eastern Door and the North
The 24th National Aboriginal Hockey Championships (NAHC) will be held on May 4 to 10, 2025 in Kamloops, British-Columbia (team will be travelling on May 3 and May 11).
Teams selection for the 2025 National Aboriginal Hockey Championship (NAHC) will take place in two stages:
First stage: an identification camp on August 24 and 25, 2024, where all First Nations and Inuit athletes at midget and bantam levels were invited to showcase their talents on the ice. During this identification camp, the coaches were responsible for identifying and inviting the athletes who would take part in the selection camp at the end of January.
Second stage: a selection camp, on January 25 and 26, 2025, where the invited athletes will be able to demonstrate their competitiveness and try to earn an official place on the Eastern Door and the North teams for the 2025 NACH. The composition of the two official teams (men’s and women’s) will be announced following that following weekend.
Final Selection Camp Information (on invitation only)
Date: Saturday, January 25, and Sunday, January 26, 2025 (the selection camp will be held over two days)
Place: Kahnawake Sports Complex, P.O. Box 720, (route 138), Kahnawake, Québec, J0L 1B0.
Registration cost
$50 per person, payable by bank transfer or credit card when registering online. Players will have to pay their transportation and accommodation fees.
For bank transfers, the security question must be “Year NAHC”, and the answer must be “hockey2025”.
*Please note that a fee of $50 per athlete applies for each selection activity (identification camp and selection camp).
Selected players from the men’s and women’s EDN teams will be charged a registration fee of $1,500 to cover some of the costs of transportation, accommodation and meals associated with their participation in the NAHC.
