Every\u00a0<\/span>year, the Aboriginal Sport Circle (<\/span>ASC<\/span>) presents the National Indigenous Coaching Awards, recogniz<\/span>ing<\/span>\u00a0Indigenous excellence in sport, to Indigenous coach<\/span>es<\/span>\u00a0who ha<\/span>ve<\/span>\u00a0<\/span>demonstrated<\/span>\u00a0exemplary integrity in their approach to coaching<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>

Tom Longboat Awards<\/a><\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Tom Longboat Awards were established in 1951 to recognize the outstanding contributions of Indigenous athletes to Canadian sport. With only a few exceptions, the awards have been presented annually since their inception. They remain the longest-running awards and are among the most prestigious honors bestowed upon Indigenous athletes in Canada.<\/p>

Administered by the Aboriginal Sport Circle (ASC), the Tom Longboat Awards celebrate the growth and strength of the Indigenous sport movement in Canada, as well as its significant impact on sport development from the community level to high-performance competition. The awards are presented in both the male and female categories.<\/p><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
