Selection Camp: 2026 NAHC
The 25th National Aboriginal Hockey Championships (NAHC) will take place from May 3 to 9, 2026, in Regina, Saskatchewan (the team will travel on May 2 and 10).
The selection camp will take place over three days: Friday, January 2; Saturday, January 3; and Sunday,
January 4, 2026. The first athlete cuts could take place as early as Saturday, January 3.

Registration fees
$75 per person, payable by bank transfer or credit card when you register online. Athletes are responsible
for covering the costs of transportation and accommodation. No athlete will be allowed on the ice if
their registration is unpaid. Registration fees are non-refundable.
Age groups
Men’s team: Year of birth between 2008 and 2012 inclusive.
Women’s team: Year of birth between 2008 and 2012 inclusive.
Eligibility criteria
All athletes must be Indigenous people of Canada.
Proof of status must be provided upon arrival. Acceptable documents include:
- Certificate of Indian Status; or
- Beneficiary status for the Inuit or Inuvialuit; or
3. Métis card from one of the recognized provincial bodies in Canada:
- Métis Nation of Ontario
- Manitoba Métis Federation
- Métis Nation Saskatchewan
- Métis Nation of Alberta
- Métis Nation British Columbia
Athletes must play for the province or territory in which their parents or guardians (appointed by the court) permanently reside. Proof must be provided at registration (Quebec health insurance card or court document).
Equipment
Athletes must wear the protective equipment required by Hockey Canada to participate in the selection camp and NAHC. They must wear a CSA-certified helmet with ear protectors, neck protector, and a full facial protector.

Men’s team: 12 p.m. to 6:50 p.m.
Women’s team: 2 p.m. to 3:50 p.m.
Saturday, January 3, 2026
Men’s team: 7:30 a.m. to 4:20 p.m.
Women’s team: 9:30 a.m. to 3:20 p.m.
Sunday, January 4, 2026
Men’s team: 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m..
Women’s team: 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
*A meal will be served to both teams between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.
Selected athletes will be required to pay a registration fee of $1,500 to cover a portion of the transportation, accommodation and meal costs associated with their participation in the 2026 NAHC
